Banff Bicycle Adventure Tours

These soft adventure tours are designed to show Banff and its special areas with as little impact as possible, reduce vehicle traffic and give you the chance to enjoy the mountains from a bike – and so that you can stop and smell the roses!

Your tour can be a combination of several different loops and vistas and include Interpretative talks from your Guide. We can offer you very easy rides with lots of Interpretive information, harder rides with more rewarding vistas, remoter locales, with fewer interpretive stops or any combination in between. It’s your choice and can be established as you go.

Our guided bike tours are an ideal way for families and groups to get outside, get active and see the best of Banff.

We partner with THE SKI STOP at 203a Bear St. in Banff for all of our bicycles.

Guided Bike Tours:

Around and About Banff Bow Falls

This is very much an easy tour with just one short hill at Bow Falls and includes some of Banff's best scenery. The ride will take you along the Vermillion Lakes with its excellent bird life, including eagles and ospreys and then over to Bow Falls and the Golf Course loop. Bow Falls is a scenic viewpoint and made famous back in the the 50's with Marilyn Monroe and "River of No Return". If time and energy permits, a ride on the other side of the Bow River to "Surprise Corner and its view of the Banff Springs Hotel can be included.

Lake Minnewanka Loop.along Two Jack Lake

This is a 16 km loop that will take you along a quiet back road to the largest lake in the Rockies, Lake Minnewanka, and also past the ghost town of Bankhead, Two Jack Lake and, if time permits, Johnson Lake. This is a moderately challenging ride and does have a number of hills that will get you using all of the gears on your bike. The ride makes an excellent 1/2 day tour and there are lots of places to stop and walk around, take photos, and also to have a picnic lunch. Bring a camera!

Sundance Canyon Bike and Hike:Vermillion Lakes
This is an exciting outing that takes you past the Cave & Basin National Historic Site and along the Bow River to Sundance Canyon. At the canyon you lock up your bikes and go for an easy 1 km walk through the canyon and the surrounding forest. There is a great picnic area at the canyon or along the river on your way back that you might choose to stop at. Added stops include the Cave & Basin and the numerous beaver ponds along the way. An easy yet adventure filled outing for you, your friends or the whole family.
