Employee engagement is falling: A recent report by Aon Hewitt’s studying more than five million employees at over 1,000 organizations around the world shows that employee engagement dropped from 65 percent in 2015 to 63 percent in 2016.
Gallup 's State of the American Workplace shows that the number of employees in the workforce that are "Not Engaged" or "Actively Disengaged" hasn't decreased at all in the last 16 years.
So how can we increase engagement?
First, start with happiness. Shawn Anchor gives a great and hilarious keynote at TedX on how happiness inspires productivity:
One of the great things about working with White Mountain Adventures is our wide variety of different team building programs; in addition to traditional team building games we offer experiential activities including guided hiking, biking, and snowshoeing programs.
The benefits of our guided activity programs include exercise creating endorphin's leading to happiness, teach mindfulness through interpretive guiding and observation of nature, and a decrease in stress and anxiety while increasing creativity and reducing fatigue.
