Employee engagement is falling: A recent report by Aon Hewitt’s studying more than five million employees at over 1,000 organizations around the world shows that employee engagement dropped from 65 percent in 2015 to 63 percent in 2016.
Gallup 's State of the American Workplace shows that the number of employees in the workforce that are "Not Engaged" or "Actively Disengaged" hasn't decreased at all in the last 16 years. So how can we increase engagement? First, start with happiness. Shawn Anchor gives a great and hilarious keynote at TedX on how happiness inspires productivity:
