Team Events and Races in Banff, Calgary,
Canmore, Kananaskis and Lake Louise
Rocky Mountain Challenge
In this event, your group is divided into teams and your challenge will be to compete in an event that part scavenger hunt and part “Survivor”. Each team will receive a map of the area and will be required to identify a series of objects, uncover some historical facts and collect certain potentially useful items. Along the way, teams will be required to find 4 different sites, arrive at them at a certain time and then compete in a “Mountain Madness” game against the other teams. Teams will earn points along the way for correctly solving problems and for how well they compete in the “Mountain Madness” games. At the end of the event, the team that has accumulated the most points wins!
“Mountain Madness” challenges include:
Animal Puzzler: race against other teams to be the first to build a giant animal puzzle out of 70 1-metre puzzle pieces
Amazing Maze: just like the “Labyrinth” game you may have played as a child with a marble and a floating table – except this one requires at least 4 people to hold!
Trolley Race: your team must work together to beat the clock as you race around a short course with a pair of giant planks under your feet!
Crazy Compass Points: this is a thinking challenge that requires you and your team to work outside the box ... in a manner of speaking.
Other “Mountain Madness” can be substituted with the possibility of an additional charge.
